顾名思义既指代人、事、物的词，
“指人”就是老师们口中常说的人称代词，这也是初中最基础且最重要的知识点之一。
你能一口气说出所有的人称代词么？！
曾几何时，英语老师们总有这样一句口头禅：“男他女她宝盖儿它”分别指代he, she, it，而对于小小的“it”只是宝盖儿这么简单么？！
并不是！
01、it指代无生命的动物、植物、事物
it指代动物：
This cute animal is penguin. It lives in Antarctica (南极洲).
it 指代植物：
On Mother’s Day, children usually buy their mums some carnation (康乃馨). Itrepresents the love to mum.
it指代事物：
- Where is your office?
- It is on the fourth floor.
02、it指不明性别的婴儿或无法确定的人
it 指代不明性别的小婴儿：
They have got a baby and it is lovely.
it 指代无法确定的人：
- Who’s it over there?
- It’s the milkman.
03、it指代前文中的事物
He smokes in bed and I don’t like it.
I would APPreciate (感谢) it if you could do me a favour.
When the factory closes, it will mean 500 workers will be unemployed (失业的).
04、it指代时间、天气、日期、距离
it 指代时间：
- What time is it?
- It is half past eight.
it指代天气：
- What’s the weather like today?
- It is sunny.
it 指代日期：
- What is the date today?
- It is 22nd October.
it 指代距离：
We can walk home. It isn’t far.
05、it做形式主语或者形式宾语
何为“形式”？
既表面上看it貌似是主语，但是真实地讲it这个词真不是主语。
真正的主语是it指代的内容（to do或句子形式）
it 做形式主语
It is nice to see you again. (It =to see you again)
It is easy to find your house. (It = to find your house)
It is impossible to understand her. (It = to understand her)
It is a pity that he missed the first flight. (It =that he misses the first flight)
It seems that he has passed the exam. (It =that he has passed the exam)
It is said that the woman won the first prize. (It =that the woman won the first prize)
it 做形式宾语
He feels it his duty (暂时) to help others. (it =to help others)
She found it very difficult to answer the question. (it =to answer the question)
People in the west make it a rule (规则) to buy Christmas presents for their relatives (亲戚) and friends. (it =to buy Christmas presents for their relatives and friends)
